The following are the terms of services that Custom Computer Consulting provides to
both Business and Residential. It includes both in-shop and on-site services
.

CCC - Consulting Service
A General Consultation charge of $75.00 an hour is charged w/no additional service charge. There is specialize services will offer to all our clients at standard service prices.

CCC - On-Site Service Charge
Payment must be made in full upon service completion. A standard diagnostic charge of $75.00 is applied no matter if repair is performed or not. If we perform the repair the fee is reduced to $25.00 and is applied to the initial cost of the repair. It does not include the cost of any hardware or software that may be needed For minor repairs the average cost is 100.00 while major repairs $255+. This will depend on the extent of the repair. We spend an average of 1 to 2 hours on-site.

Cancellations & Rescheduling
Custom Computer Consulting requires a 3-hour notice of any cancellations or rescheduling or a charge of $35.00 will apply.

CCC - Repair Turn-Around
There are many factors that contribute to the needed repair time on a component. Depending how busy we and the particular time year times can vary. Also, it depends on the availability of parts. Older machines can take longer as parts are harder to come by. Newer machines it is matter of ordering the replacement and shipping the component, Also, the complexity of the repair. In the majority of cases it takes between two and three days. Our clients will be inform to the progress of their repair. Our main objective is get the computer repaired and back to our customer as soon as possible.


CCC - Service Time
To better serve our clients an approximate Service Time will be given to each service that we will perform. It is an allocation of time that Custom Computer Consulting allocates for a specific job as it relates to on-site support. This allows our clients to be schedule their availability to be there for any on-site service.

CCC - Data Loss
Custom Computer Consulting can not GUARANTEE the lost of any data on your personal and business computers. We will do our best to preserve the information but due to software and mechanical errors, the lost of data is always a possibility. We recommend to all our clients that they should routinely backup all important data either by external sources or by off-site backup services. Custom Computer Consulting can assist you in the options available to both home and business.

CCC - Virus, Malware, & Spyware Removal
If our client chooses to have us remove the virus by other means other then our recommendation of scrubbing the drive and reloading the operating we CANNOT guarantee that the drive will NOT become effect again, as files can remain hidden or dormant, waiting to reinfect your system. This can effect the performance of your computer and the interrogated of any files you have stored on your drive. For more information consult our Virus Removal Service.

CCC - HDD/SDD Replacement (Data Security)
In the event a HDD or SSD drive needs to replaced due to mechanical error or update, Custom Computer Consulting, if requested, we will return all damaged or outdated drive to our client. This option will allow our clients to disposal of the drive and it contents themselves. In the event the drive is returned for warranty we will perform a kill and wipe of all data contained on the drive. If requested, by our clients, we will send out by way of an e-mail, a certification authenticating the destruction in the content of the drive. This report will contain the Company Logo/Technician as well as the certificate after erasing and wiping the drive. The file will be in a PDF format.

**Note: Due to the delay in the replacement of a drive many customers choose to purchase a new drive and use the refurbish drive as an alternate drive. Any drives that are less then 30-days under warranty are replaced with new drive. After 30 days the manufacture warranty is applied -- unless an extended warranty plan is purchased.

CCC - Reinstalling Operating System / Clean Install
In the event that the operating system needs to be reinstalled our clients should make available all original copies of either the original operating system or recovered disk which came with the computer. If you are unable to supply the needed disks, it will be necessary to purchase a new copy of the operating system. You will have the option to purchase a full retail or OEM version. The advantages will be explained to our clients, if and when it will be necessary.. Also, it can effect the time it takes to reinstall an operating system as drivers and other software will have to be obtained from the manufacture and installed. So, it is important to retain all disks associated with your computer or any peripherals to be retained.

CCC - Unpaid Service Chargers
Any UNPAID service chargers incurred on the repair of a computer or peripheral will be held until accounts are paid in full. Custom Computer Consulting only holds the equipment for 60 days from the date in which the service was performed. If paid in full within this time period the equipment will be returned to the customer.

CCC - Standard Release Forms
Any In-Shop repair our clients will be asked to sign a standard release form. It is simply release form authorizing Custom Computer Consulting to take the piece of equipment for possible repair. It will list the Make, Model#, Serial #, and any other items that may be needed. In majority cases the only items that is needed is the computer or device itself. It will further contain a statement that Custom Computer Consulting can not be held responsible for any lost of data but will do our best to maintain to avoid it. Also, any unclaimed equipment as a result of unpaid service will only be kept for a period of 60 days then sold to cover the cost of the repair. After 90 days it will be destroyed/recycled. All personal data will be destroyed to protect the privacy of our clients.

If the service is perform on-site an on-site service contract will be signed authorizing us to perform the needed repairs on-site.

Computer Equipment Release & Repair Form (PDF)

CCC- Software Updates / Corrections / New Installs
All software updates and corrections performed by Custom Computer Consulting, related to the operating system, and software applications are warranted for 7-days upon completion. We are not responsible for any faulty software design by the manufacture. There is no CHARGE in the event that it is our FAULT.


CCC - Warranty Information
Custom Computer Consulting has a 30-day warranty on both labor and parts from the original invoice date. If an item is found to be defective we will replace the component. After the 30-day period the manufacture warranty applies and ONLY a service charge will apply.

Custom Computer Consulting offers a service to handle all extended warranty. This service covers on-site inspection to assure the product is defective and that it is under warranty. The removing of the defective component and the handling and shipping of the product back to the manufacture. If you wish to us to ONLY verify that the component is defective and you can handle all the necessary return for warranty. Then, once you receive the replacement we can handle the reinstallation of the device or component.


CCC - Ordering Process (Hardware, Software)
Prior to ordering any hardware or software Custom Computer Consulting will confirm with our clients all purchases prior to placing the order. Once the order has been processed all sales are FINAL.

CCC - Custom Built PCs
The estimated time it takes to process your order on Custom Built machine is approximately 5 to 7 days once parts have been received. This time can vary depending the on the type of system being built, the availability of parts, and if any software other then the operating system is being installed. All systems that Custom Computer Consulting builds are tested prior to being put into service. All System sales are FINAL and are NON-REFUNDABLE. All systems come with a 30-day labor warranty and how ever long the manufacture warranty.

CCC- Shipping & Returns (Warranties & DOA)
We use only reputable shipping company (FEDex, UPS, etc) that offers shipment tracking and insurance for the entire shipment value. In most cases all returns under warranty will require a RMA (return merchandise authorization) number. The process can take 2-4 weeks from the date the company receive the return product. In the event that a DOA (Dead on Arrival) occurs, the returns can take between 7-10 days.

Custom Computer Consulting will keep our client’s informed on the progress of any returns via e-mail or voice depending on their preference.

CCC - Password Recovery (Operating System, E-Mail, Usenet, & Social Networks)
This can involve the rest of the operating system’s password, the recovery of those application involving E-Mail, Usenet, and other related social media. If Custom Computer Consulting is unable to recovery any of our Client’s social media accounts password we will assist them in resetting the accounts and reestablish their access. For other applications involving password recovery attempts, if we are unable to recovery the password there will be NO CHARGE.
