Custom Computer Consulting Remote Desktop Access provides a comfort level for our clients as it allow us to have access to an individual PC or a group of PCs without having to be in front of the computer. We offer remote access to your home or business PC to resolve software issues and some hardware problems without physically being on-site. It also allows us to elevate the problem and determine if a field call is necessary. It can also be used to update software and to install new applications. This ensures that problems are resolved quickly and there no need for unnecessary call out charges. It allows us to be more flexible in our billing. So, if you use only 30 minutes support you are only charged for 30 mins.

Certain types of computer problems can’t be repaired remotely especially those problems that create adverse effect on the computer stability and/or internet connection. Items that can’t be supported by remote server and will require off-site repair.

CCC Standard (Support) Installation

Custom Computer Consulting standard installation recommends the use of RealVNC for remote desktop remote access even though those windows 7 and Windows 8 it does provide network level authentication as well as a secure connect. For all other operating systems we prefer to use RealVNC as it allows or a secure connection by provides government level security using either or both options of 128bit or 256bit encryption level. It is installed on your computer and remains resistant within your system. It acts as a virtual network server and provides an encryption level access at any location through the internet. The FREE downloadable version does not support a secure SSH. We recommend purchasing the FULL version of the software to get all the extra features. The personal addition offers 128bit encryption while the enterprise edition offers 256bit encryption.

Even though there are web service available that you download a plug-in and it will automatically install and setup your desktop to support a remote feature, Custom Computer Consulting recommends that we perform an on-site installation, setup and configuration for remote access. This will assure that the software and connection are properly setup and all user accounts have been assigned to provide proper access to your internet provider. This will also allow you to have access to your own system.

Custom Computer Consulting will test the remote capabilities after installation of the program by way of our company site. Once successfully installed you will have full control in who will have access to your computer or network. Security privileges can be implemented to assure who gets access and what level of control over the computer.

Client's Needing Immediate RDS Support

If you require immediate Remote Desktop Support from Custom Computer Consulting recommends you use teamviewer. You can obtain the latest copy of the program by going to their company's website (www.teamviewer) and download it. After it is installed you then can contact us at 716-870-5760. We will then ask you for a user id# and password which will be provided by the software. Once our session is completed you simply exit from the program and if you wish you may uninstall it. No further access will be available to us. You can continue to use the program FREE of charge as long as it is not being used for commercial usage. It supports both attend and untended modes. Attend mode requires a person to be at the computer during a remote session while the unattended does not require you to be at the computer.

What to except when CCC tech support call
