Isolate Problem - What is functioning and what is NOT |

| Device Configuration - Check configurations on all devices within the network to assure they are properly configured. | |
| Check for Conflicting IP addresses - Improperly assignment of IP Address | |
| Network Hardware Integrity - (EIC, Hub, Switch, Router, modem, etc.) | |
| Network Collisions - This result in slow connectivity. It can occur as result of bad network setup plan involving the installation of the wire, to where it was placed. | |
| Crosstalk (referred to as NOISE). A leakage from other connection (cochineal interference) or related to (adjacent - channel interference. | |

Common Problems (that occur in cabling)
Crosstalk (referred to as NOISE): A leakage from other connections (cochineal interference) or related to (adjacent – channel interference.
Signal Attenuation (decrease in signal amplitude): Signal is stronger then becomes faint whisper. Several factors create attenuation
Cable Problems: Cable cut or shorted, incorrectly wired cable, cable connection, interference level, or connector problem.
Connectivity Problems: When one or more devices in a network improperly configured or malfunction of a component, such as hub, a router, or a switch.
Network Collisions: These often lead to slow connectivity. This problem can occur as a result of bad network setup/plan.
Software Problem: Often times, network problems can be a result of software configuration such as DNS configuration, WINS configure, the registry, etc.
Duplicate IP Addressing: Is a common problem in many network environments. This occurs when two devices try to use the same IP address. This can result in intermittent commutations.

Security Level - Improper authentication (wrong pin# or passkey phrase entered incorrectly or an unsupported security

| Electrical Interference - interference from competing devices, such as cordless phones, baby monitors, alarm systems, and microwave ovens. | |

| Cross Channel Interface - Improper selection of channel or incorrect band selection based on your surroundings. | |
| Antenna Positions - Is the antenna clear from any form of obstruction. Wireless signal radiates downward | |
| Firmware - The program code stored in a non-volatile memory device such as a ROM, EPROM, or flash memory. Manufacturing are always updating and correcting the code. | |
| Type of Antenna - Is it an omni or direction type antenna will effect how the signal is received and transmitted to the device. Omni directional are good for higher areas while Directional antennas aimed at the flower level help create a cone coverage when area obstruction surrounds the upper area | |
| Signal Blockage - Building materials have an effect on the wireless signals attenuation (loss or reduction). Material such as glass (2b), wood (3db), cubicle (3db-5db), plasterboard wall (3db), dry wall(4b), cinder block (5db), marble (5db), glass wall with metal frame (6db), brick wall (8db), and concrete wall (10db-15db). All will degrade the signal. | |

CCC - Service Time
Unfortunately, it is harder to put an exit service time as it depends on relates to the implantation of a network. It It will depend on the complexity and the purposed network
