
Today printers are no longer used for just printing. They’ve become multifunction machines (MFP). They are All-In-One printers that have the capabilities of not only printing but faxing and copying. Many are network ready using advance technology offering a variety of connectivity using a combination of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NIC interface cards. This allows the user to access the printer from host of peripherals.
It is important to know the capabilities that technologies has to offer and how to properly interrogate them within your local network or PC desktop environment. We at Custom Computer Consulting we help you decide what is the best suitable for your particular environment. This includes the purchase and configuration of any major MFP or All-In-One brand printers.
Setup
Includes:
- Unpacking the MFP
(Removal of all components from the package and verification of the necessary parts,)
- Assembling of all the components
(Removal of all printer shipping safe guards. Assembling MFP parts, including printer trays, document feeder,
and installation of the black and color cartridges. If needed instructing the client in how to prepare and install the
cartridge.)
- **Memory Upgrade - (Optional. Client can purchase additional RAM to improve printer performance. If purchased in advance it can be installed at the time of installation.)
Configuration of features
- Computer Connectivity - (A physical wire link that connects your desktop or laptop to the MPS)
- Network Connectivity (Wi-Fi or LAN) - (Configuration of Network Identification, IPv4 or IPv6, Wireless Configuration
Wireless Direct Setup and Security features.)
- **Mobile printing capability - (Setup HP ePrint, Apple AirPrint.)
- FAX - (Setup of the FAX feature. Involves the phone hookup. Performing a send and receive test. If need, an
explanation of how send and receive a fax. The Fax Phone Entry directory.
- Print - (Loading of necessary drivers and performing a test from each client connected to the printer.)
- Scan - (Assembly of document feeders. The Installation of support software and scanner drivers.)
- Copy - (Verifying functionality and if needed demonstrating to the client how to do it.)
- **Host USB - (Verifying functionality and if needed demonstrating to the client the purpose and advantage.)
- **Scan to Network Folder - (Create and Assign Network Folder)
**Scan to E-mail - (Configuration of Outgoing E-Mail Profile, E-mail Address Book, & E-mail Options)
- **Web Services, ePrint , Apps, Proxy Settings - (This enables printing documents attached to e-mail messages sent
to the device. An unique E-mail address assignment and the validation)
- Software - (Installation of all support software and web interface. This includes OS supported printer, scanner,
drivers, and the latest version of the MPS firmware. )
- Software Setup - (Setting up Print, Scan, and FAX defaults for Client)
- Smart Install Setup - (allow the installation to be installed on a client without the need of install.
- *Any Additional Unlisted Feature - (Those features which are not listed which could involve additional functionality
or software installation.)
- *Q&A Session with client - (Explanation of features including any operation demonstration followed by a question
and answer session.)
**Note: The information above does not necessarily represent all the features that are being offered by all makes of all-in-one (MFP) printer. The majority of printers we install are consumer and business class HP.
Custom Computer Consulting Offer Two Levels Of Installation
Standard - Is reserved for the basic setup and functionality of the printer. It is used for both standard printer installation as well
as All-In-One Printer installation.
** ADVANCE, Is more involved and includes the installation and setup of all the additional options that your printer may offer followed
by a more involved QA session with the client.
CCC - Service Time
For standard installation we allocate 60 minutes but it usually takes us less time. For Advance installation we allocate 120 minutes for a service call.
